At ABRSM we are passionate about music and we want to play our part in helping everyone who has taken part so far in Get Playing.
Our exams
We offer a range of music exams that motivate achievement and support progression. They lay good foundations for music making while helping you to reach your full potential.
Our graded music exams are designed to motivate instrumental and singing students of all ages and a wide range of abilities and available at eight levels – Grades 1 to 8. The exams provide:
- progressive goals to aim for;
- recognition for achievement;
- carefully structured syllabus requirements;
- one-to-one assessment by an expert professional;
- an objective guide to your skills and progress.

Violin Scales Trainer helps increase fluency with ABRSM scales and arpeggios requirements.
Speedshifter
A practice tool that allows you to vary the speed of audio without altering the pitch.
Piano Practice Partner
Piano Practice Partner helps you by playing the part for one hand so you can practise the other as you learn. The 2021 & 2022 Piano Exam Pieces, including Initial Grade, are now available.
Grade-a-thons
Type 'Grade-a-thon' into any search engine and you’ll come across link after link to webpages, blogs, forum posts and news stories about groups of aspiring or experienced musicians of all ages learning a new instrument, preparing for and taking a graded music exam on the instrument, and raising money for charity and other good causes at the same time.
