Music Theory results – update 6 April

Free piece of the Day

For the next few months we’ll be publishing a free piece of music every Monday to Friday at 2pm (apart from bank holidays). We’ll be making a variety of pieces available from our books, new and old, with piano accompaniments where needed. We hope you enjoy learning and playing these pieces at home. Please let us know how you get on by emailing us at [email protected].

You can view the full library of previous free pieces of the day here.

Hit and Miss

This is a fantastic piece for Trumpet players featured in our book Time Pieces for Trumpet Volume 3. Download a free copy of the piece today below or you can buy the book from our online shop.

The Time Pieces series is a collection of volumes containing well-crafted arrangements and original compositions spanning the centuries. Each volume features a wide range of material, balancing well-known pieces with less familiar music.

Beginning with the 15th/17th century (instrument depending) up to the present day, the pieces are presented in chronological order together with the year in which they were written. The aim of this series is to allow pupils to garner a sense of the different styles of music through time, and provide a varied source of repertoire for further studies and recitals.
