Additional support sessions will take place on the evening of day 1 for anybody who would like them
Day 2 will run from 9:00-16:00
A fee of £170 per day (£340 in total) will be payable and this should be claimed using the online eExpense system after the event has taken place.
Onsite accommodation, dinner and breakfast will be provided automatically for the night in between the two event days.
Please indicate when submitting your RSVP whether you will require accommodation the night before the event begins. The cost of this will be covered by ABRSM and will be booked on your behalf.
All accommodation will be provided at the conference venue, unless you would prefer to stay the night before with friends/family, which can be claimed at the usual rate of £60.60. Any alternative accommodation claims will not be accepted.
All meals will be provided onsite and as such no subsistence claims will be needed for this event.
ABRSM will cover your standard-class public transport costs to and from the venue. You are encouraged to book this as far in advance as possible to take advantage of the best value fare. If you are unwell on the day we will still reimburse the cost of your tickets (providing they are advance tickets).
If you will need to fly to attend the event please note that a maximum of £300 will be contributed to your fare if you are travelling from outside of Europe, and a maximum of £200 will be contributed to your fare if you are travelling within Europe. If you wish to fly from within the UK, please contact us for prior approval.
Venues this year have been chosen for their suitability for interactive training in small groups, and as such are further away from train stations than usual. As a result, we realise that for many examiners, driving may be the most convenient and cost-effective travel option. Exceptionally for this programme of events, ABRSM will reimburse mileage at the standard rate of 45p per mile, and there is no need to seek pre-approval if you wish to drive. However, we would ask that you look into the feasibility of public transport, particularly where large distances are involved, in order to make your travel as cost- and time-effective as possible.
Parking is provided onsite, free-of-charge at both venues.
If you will be arriving by train in High Wycombe (for Lane End) or Knutsford (for Cottons), ABRSM will reimburse the cost of a taxi from the station to the venue. For your return journey, shared taxis from the venue to local train stations will be organised by ABRSM.
